Art Exhibitions & Receptions
The Hispanic Museum of Nevada exhibits feature exquisite artwork from seasoned and emerging
artists including sculptures, photographs, paintings, textiles and pottery, among others. Events
can be complemented with local and national entertainment, food and libations.

Latino “Short” Film Festival & Reception
The Hispanic Museum of Nevada was the first to introduce the Latino “Short” Film Festival in
Southern Nevada. Held every Fall, the festival features award winning “short” films from
festivals held nationally. The event’s main objective is to enrich the community’s awareness
through the introduction of thought-provoking films representing the Latino countries.

Rae Arroyo Art Scholarship
The Hispanic Museum of Nevada provides scholarship awards to qualified youth who are
interested in art-related classes, but lack the financial assistance to do so. Classes are held
at community centers throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Institute of Culture Youth Day Camp
The Hispanic Museum of Nevada’s Institute of Culture is a summer cultural camp available to
children ages 10 – 16 years. Students are given the opportunity to learn about Hispanic cultures
through music, art, ethnic food and presentations. Over 300 students have already experienced
the Institute of Culture.

Collaborations
The Hispanic Museum of Nevada events are collaborative efforts with Las Vegas cultural groups,
community organizations and businesses, but also bring national collaboration. Performances,
exhibits and presenters from around the nation are welcomed to join events throughout the year.

Clark County School District Field Trips
The Hispanic Museum of Nevada facilitates Clark County School District students visits to the
“Rinconcito del Arte” Gallery at the East Las Vegas Community Center to experience hands-on
art activities with featured artists, and the City of Las Vegas Arts Commission.

Noche de Arte Gala
The Hispanic Museum of Nevada holds a “Noche de Arte” gala every other year. The event
features local entertainment, dazzling artwork and guest speakers.

Emerging Artists Showcase
The Hispanic Museum of Nevada assists artists with showcasing their work in a formal setting.
The Museum also provides guidance on art related topics and resources.
